From Wind Turbines to Holiday Parks — A Busy Month for KAS Crane & Hiab Hire
May was another packed month here at KAS Crane & Hiab Hire, with our team out on a wide range of lifting and support projects across the Southwest.
Specialist Maintenance on Wind Turbines
We started the month with some carefully planned maintenance work on wind turbines. These complex lifts require precision and planning; our experienced operators ensured that each job was carried out safely and efficiently.

Hotel Demolition at Lee Bay Hotel
Another highlight was supporting the demolition of Lee Bay Hotel. Our cranes played a crucial role in the safe dismantling of structural components — a vital part of the project’s timeline. It’s great to see our equipment helping to transform local sites ready for their next chapter.

Lifting New Static Caravans at Smytham Holiday Park
At Smytham Holiday Park, we were tasked with lifting and placing brand-new static caravans into position. Access was tight in some areas, but with the right planning and equipment — including our modern all-terrain fleet — the team made light work of it.

Ongoing Support for Housing Developments
May was also an extremely busy month for our crane hire services, supporting the region’s housing developments. We’ve been providing regular lifts for steelwork, roofing materials, timber frames, and modular components across multiple sites.
It’s great to be working alongside so many construction firms, helping to deliver much-needed homes across the Southwest.
Looking Ahead
With summer now approaching, we expect another busy few months supporting a diverse mix of construction, holiday park, industrial, and private sector clients.
