Glass Lifts, Victorian Heritage Removal & Heavy Machinery Moves (June 2025 Update)
June was another action-packed month here at KAS Crane & Hiab Hire, with a variety of projects taking place across the Southwest — from precise glass lifting to heavy-duty machinery moves and even the careful removal of a piece of Victorian history.
Starting the Month with Glass Lifting.
We kicked off the month with some specialist glass lifting, which required delicate handling and precise placement. Jobs like these are all about control and experience, both of which our team bring to every lift.
Victorian Shelter Removal in Dawlish.
Mid-month, Paddy and Andrew travelled to Dawlish to assist Envolve Infrastructure Limited with the removal of a Victorian shelter. Projects involving historical structures require a sensitive approach and precision lifting — something our team takes pride in delivering.
Machinery Lifting Indoors & Out.
June also saw a busy run of machinery lifts. One project took our team indoors, where Andrew got hands-on with our new 110-tonne Hiab, testing its capabilities on an internal machinery lift — and it didn’t disappoint.
Elsewhere, we were back outside with the ever-reliable 70t Liebherr, handling another sizeable machinery move with ease.
Whether indoors or out, having the right equipment and experienced operators on site makes all the difference — and June’s projects were a clear reminder of that.
Welfare Unit Lift
This month also featured a welfare unit lift — another great example of how cranes aren’t just for heavy industry, but also for practical on-site logistics. Our team safely transported and lifted the unit into position, ready for use on a busy work site. A quick, clean job — and a reminder of how versatile crane support can be.

Housing Developments – Keeping the Fleet Busy.
The housing developments across the Southwest continue to keep the KAS Crane Hire fleet in full motion. We’ve been working alongside developers throughout the month, supporting timber frame erections, roof truss placements, and material deliveries.
Here are a few moments we captured on site during June:
Looking Ahead.
We’re heading into the heart of summer now, with more scheduled works in construction, infrastructure, and industrial sectors across the region. If you’ve got a lifting requirement coming up — from technical internal lifts to sensitive removals — we’re always happy to help.
