KAS Crane Hire – Booking and Cancellation Policy
1. Booking Requirements
1.1 All crane and Hiab hire bookings must be confirmed in writing a minimum of five (5) working days prior to the scheduled lift date.
1.2 The advance booking period is required to allow for (if required) any site inspections, to ensure the correct selection of machinery, conduct risk assessments, and prepare Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) specific to the project.
2. Variation of Equipment or Scope
2.1 In the event that the equipment required differs from that specified in the original booking, a Variation Order must be raised and approved by the Commercial Team prior to the commencement of any lifting operations.
2.2 No lift shall proceed without a duly authorised Variation Order where applicable.
3. Cancellations
3.1 All cancellations must be submitted in writing to andrew@kascranehire.com no later than twenty-four (24) hours prior to the scheduled commencement of the lift.
3.2 Where less than twenty-four (24) hours’ notice is provided, KAS Crane Hire reserves the right to charge the full hire amount as per the original booking confirmation.
4. Booking and Communication Requirements
4.1 All communications relating to bookings, variations, and cancellations must be directed in writing to andrew@kascranehire.com.
4.2 Telephone cancellations or verbal amendments shall not be considered valid unless subsequently confirmed in writing.
5. Half-Day Bookings
5.1 Half-day bookings will, unless otherwise agreed in writing, be allocated to afternoon (PM) lifts.
5.2 Morning (AM) half-day lifts may be accommodated only where no full-day AM bookings exist and must be confirmed in advance.
